L&A Chamber Market Saturdays 2026 Season

The Lennox & Addington Chamber of Commerce Farmers’ Market, herein known as L&A Chamber Market, is organized and managed by the Lennox & Addington Chamber of Commerce. Our hope is that bringing a market back to downtown Napanee, it will be a welcoming and friendly place for people to gather. Our vendors take pride in offering quality local, home grown, home-made or hand-crafted items. We ask all vendors to adhere to the Rules & Regulations and to help build and grow the Market for all to enjoy year after year.

Market Management:

Lennox & Addington Chamber of Commerce staff and Board members are responsible for the weekly operations of the market, obtaining the authority to enforce market rules, regulations, and ensure all vendors are compliant and content with the set guidelines. Through the Business Manager, the seasonal market staff have the authority, with cause, to request any vendor or other person to leave the market operation area, and if necessary, call the police for assistance.

Market Season and Hours of Operation:

The L&A Chamber Market will operate every Saturday from May 16, 2026 until October 3, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

Vendor Punctuality:

Late arrivals and early departures are disruptive to the market and can become bothersome to the customers and other vendors. Vendors are not permitted to begin setting up before 8:00 a.m. (but must arrive before 8:20 a.m. to confirm their spot) and are required to begin packing up no earlier than 1:00 p.m. Extended hours may be permitted.

 Market Location:

Vendor Capacity:

The 2026 season allows a maximum of 30 – 35 vendors per market with a priority given to local food producers. Vendors are not required to attend weekly but will be expected to attend the market dates they have signed up for. Vendors offering hand-crafted and artisanal items will be permitted to attend the 2026 season.

Vendors must not be absent for more than 2 market dates they have signed up for (rain or shine). If you plan on being absent, please notify the Business Manager a week in advance. We do have a no -refund policy except for extenuating circumstances.

Vendors will forfeit their spot if they fail to comply with the attendance requirements.

Day-of registration and casual registration will be accepted for the 2026 L&A Chamber Market season, however for those required to have a health certificate, 2 weeks notice is required to allow time to forward information to the SouthEast Health Unit.

The vendor limitation and operational structure may be evaluated and adjusted in correlation with the provincial and regional guidelines, through direction from the South East Health Unit. Staff, volunteer, and operational resources will also be considered before any changes are made to the season.

All vendor registration fees must be paid in full by 1 week prior to the market signed up for occasional vendors. Vendors that have committed to 15+ market days or more (full season) vendor fees may be paid in 2 installments or in full (1/2 no later than April 25, 2026 and the remaining 1/2 no later than August 15, 2026 unless you have contacted the Business Manager to make alternate arrangements. Vendors may pay for all markets signed up in one payment.

Setup is not permitted before 8:00 a.m. and must be complete by 8:45 a.m. ready for market to begin at 9:00am.

Vendors are required to check in with market staff each market morning and must set-up within their predetermined designated location. Late arriving vendors will possibly be denied permission to set-up for the day.

All setup materials are the sole responsibility of the vendor.

Due to safety reasons, it is mandatory that all vendors supply their own tent weights. Weights must be securely anchored to tent poles during market operations. If a vendor does not have weights, the market staff have the authority to deny the vendor from setting up the tent.

All set up materials needed are the sole responsibility of the vendor. If you are having trouble accessing supplies or need some help, please contact us.

Tear Down:

Vendors are not permitted to begin breakdown before the market closes at 1:00 p.m. If you have an extenuating circumstance, please talk to staff upon arrival. Those wishing to stay longer may do so with permission; Market staff must remain on site until the last vendor has left.

Booth Location and Size:

Vendor spaces are measured in 10’x10’ spaces, with limited double spacing available. Tents must be placed in a single, uniformed line with a 2-foot space between neighbouring stalls when possible. Vendors must keep within appointed stall guidelines, not interfering with walkways or driveways.

Community Vendor Booth:

Community Vendor Booths will be available to charity and non-profit organizations, at no cost, for fund-raising and/or educational purposes. Any products for sale must be approved by the Lennox & Addington Chamber Executive/Board members. This is one 10×10 spot only.

 Rain Days:

The L&A Chamber Market operates rain or shine unless extreme weather is forecasted or occurs during market hours. Please be prepared by bringing the required set-up materials (tents or awnings). Refunds will not be given.

Smoking:

No smoking is permitted on the market site.

Code of Conduct:

Vendors shall treat the public, other vendors, and staff with courtesy and respect. Vendors are to notify market staff and contact the Business Manager or designate if any type of dispute arises. Staff will work with vendor(s) at hand to resolve the issue. Discussion of the problems in front of the public and customers is strongly discouraged and should always be avoided.

Conflict Resolution:

Grievances: All grievances which cannot be resolved by the parties involved will be resolved by the President of the Lennox & Addington Chamber of Commerce using a grievance form obtained from the Business Manager/designated market staff.

Disciplinary Action: The President of the Lennox & Addington Chamber will follow three steps to address anyone found to have broken the modified operations and protocols. The three steps include:

  1. Verbal warning
  2. Written warning
  3. Removal from market

Resolution Recommendations: Vendors are encouraged to approach the Lennox & Addington Chamber Staff/Board Member if they encounter a problem. Discussion of problems about the market in front of customers is prohibited and is grounds for removal.

If a problem arises between vendors, the following steps are to be taken:

Step 1: The vendors in question must make attempts to resolve the issues on

their own. Success in this first step is strongly encouraged.

Step 2: If the vendors cannot come to an agreement, they will submit a grievance

form to the Business Manager.

Step 3: The Business Manager will consult as needed with the Lennox & Addington Chamber of Commerce Board and come to a decision. This decision is final.
